Cloud accounts

Signing out, removing access and expired sign-ins

A cloud sign-in can end in three ways. None of them deletes your files.

Updated November 5, 2026 ยท For Keepfin 1.0

Sign in again#

Sign-ins run out sometimes: you changed your password, the service ended the session, or the access was removed elsewhere. Keepfin then shows Sign in again on the account and on its copies, and a Sign in item in Needs review. Nothing is missing. Press Sign in again, finish in the browser, and the copy continues. Your files in the account and on your device are untouched.

Disconnect (sign out here)#

Disconnect (on Android, Sign out) forgets the sign-in on this device only. Your files stay in the account, and your other devices stay signed in and keep working. Copies that use the account wait until you sign in again.

Remove access#

Remove access (on Android, Remove Keepfin's access) asks the service to end Keepfin's access to the account. That also signs out your other devices, which will need to sign in again. Your files stay in the account.

Where your tokens are#

A sign-in is stored encrypted on the device that made it, and never in your Keepfin folder or on a copy. Each device signs in on its own.
