Library
Playlists, collections and favourites
Your own groupings sit on top of your spaces, and they travel with your library.
Playlists#
Create a playlist from anywhere with Add to playlist. You can rename, reorder (drag on Windows, use the handles on Android) and remove entries. Playlists belong to your library: they are saved inside your Keepfin folder, so a copy or another device can carry them. A playlist edited in two places is merged, and nothing either side added is lost. On Windows you can export one with Export M3U8….
Collections#
A playlist, album or channel you downloaded together shows up as a collection with its artwork and a count of its items. A collection can follow its source (see Keep in sync). Items that were removed upstream are noted, and you decide what to do with them.
Favourites#
Tap the heart on any song or video (or Add to favorites in its menu) to add it to Favourites. Favourites is a space of its own that gathers them from every space, and it can be one of the things a copy keeps (see What a copy keeps).
Tags and smart spaces#
Keepfin can keep genres and tags from the source on new downloads, and you can add your own tags from an item's menu. Tags let you filter, and build smart spaces such as "songs added this year". Existing items are not changed when you turn tag import on.
