Remove a device

Unpairing a device ends the pairing on this device and stops anything more going to it.

Updated November 5, 2026 · For Keepfin 1.0

How#

Open the device's card in Settings → Devices and press Unpair, then confirm.

What it does#

  • This device forgets the other one. It can no longer sync or ask for downloads.
  • In libraries the two of you share, the removed device is revoked from now on. What it writes later is set aside and ignored.
  • It cannot take back what it already copied. Anything already on the removed device stays there.
  • A device that is switched off only learns about this the next time it syncs.

Libraries with an administrator device#

A library has one device that may add and remove devices. If this device is not the administrator of a shared library, Keepfin tells you to remove the device on the administrator device too.

A lost or sold phone#

Unpair it on every device that was paired with it. Also, if you used a cloud account, remove Keepfin's access to end that sign-in everywhere.
