A copy on another device

Your phone can hold a copy that lives in your PC's Keepfin folder, or the other way around.

Updated November 5, 2026 ยท For Keepfin 1.0

What it is#

A copy can be kept in the Keepfin folder of another device of yours. That device does the writing, and keeps whatever it replaces (see Earlier versions and trash). It works like any copy: you choose what it holds and the mode.

Add it#

  1. Pair the devices (see Pairing).
  2. On the device that will hold the files, allow Keep a copy here for the other device. That also turns on seeing and reading its files.
  3. On the other device, open Add a copy and choose A paired device. Pick the device, then continue with what it holds, how it syncs and the first sync preview.

A device that is not connected right now says so on its card. Files wait, and the copy continues when it is back. On Android, files wait for Wi-Fi unless you allow mobile data for that device.
