Get this library from another device

A new phone or PC can take in the library of one you already use.

Updated November 5, 2026 · For Keepfin 1.0

What it does#

A paired device that shares a library this device does not have yet is listed under Libraries on other devices, with Get this library… (on Android Get this library). Keepfin makes a Keepfin folder of its own for it and takes in the library: the list, playlists, favourites and history.

Get it#

  1. Pair the two devices (see Pairing) and keep both open.
  2. Press Get this library… and choose a folder.
  3. Keepfin shows what it is doing: preparing the folder, asking the other device to add this one, and taking in the library. You can stop it and continue later.

On Windows

When it finishes, press Open it (restarts Keepfin). Keepfin opens one library at a time, so opening another restarts the app. The libraries on this PC are listed under Libraries on this device.

On Android

When it finishes, the library is in the folder you chose. Its files stay on the other device until you copy or play them.

Then add the files#
