Where your files go

Everything lands in a space inside your Keepfin folder. A space is a part of your library with its own subfolder.

Updated November 5, 2026 · For Keepfin 1.0

Spaces#

Keepfin starts with three spaces: Music, Videos and Downloads, and you can add your own. Each is a subfolder of the Keepfin folder.

SpaceWhat goes there
MusicLinks from YouTube Music, Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer (you can change this).
VideosAnything you send there with Save to. Videos from other sites go to Downloads unless you change the rule.
DownloadsEverything else: videos, clips, posts and photos, grouped by site.

Choosing a space#

Next to Download, Save to shows where this download goes. Change it for one download, or change the defaults in Settings → Library & playback under Where downloads go: one rule for Music links and one for Everything else (on Android Music links go to and Everything else goes to).

With Just downloads, there are no spaces. On Windows, Settings → Downloads has the folder (Save to › Change folder…) and Organize files and File names.

On each platform#

On Windows

Files are saved inside the Keepfin folder you chose, for example Keepfin\Music\<playlist>\. Each space decides its subfolders (a folder per collection, per site, or none) and its file names (Title, Title – Creator, Creator – Title or Date – Title) in Settings → Library & playback.

On Android

Files are saved inside the Keepfin folder you picked, so they sit in a folder you can open with any file app.

Uninstalling#

Your files are ordinary files. On Windows, uninstalling Keepfin does not touch them. On Android, files in your picked folder stay when you uninstall the app, and choosing I already have a Keepfin folder and picking the same folder in a new install brings your library back.
