Library
Spaces
A space is a part of your library with its own subfolder and its own rules. Keepfin starts with Music, Videos and Downloads.
What a space is for#
Organisation is the point. Songs you collect as music never mix with audio grabbed from a random video, and the videos you care about do not drown in one-off downloads. Each space has a kind:
- Music spaces show Songs, Albums, Artists and Playlists and feed the music player.
- Video spaces show a grid of posters, with a Continue watching row.
- Mixed spaces show everything by folder.

Add, rename and change a space#
Open Library and press Edit to create, colour, pin or reorder spaces; + New space adds one. Settings → Library & playback lists them too.
On Windows
A space's menu has Edit space…, Rescan folder and, for your own spaces, Remove space…. For each space you can change its name, kind and folder, and, under more options, its subfolders (a folder for each playlist or album, one folder, a folder for each site, or Artist / Album folders), file names (Title, Title – Creator, Creator – Title, Date – Title or, for music, Artist – Title), Skip songs already in this space and Show other files in this folder.
On Android
A card's long-press menu offers Edit, Add files and, for your own spaces, Remove. In the space editor you can change the name, kind and folder, and Skip songs already in this space.
Removing a space never deletes files#
Removing a space only takes it out of the library. The files stay where they are, and the space returns if you add the folder again. Deleting a file is a separate, confirmed action. See Removing and deleting.
Linked folders#
A space can point at a folder outside the Keepfin folder, such as an existing, well-kept music collection. Keepfin calls this a linked folder. It works like any space but is marked "not in the Keepfin folder" and is not copied by Keepfin copies. Turn on Show other files in this folder if you want files already in that folder listed too; otherwise the library only lists what Keepfin saved or what you add.
Just downloads#
If you only want a downloader, Settings → Library & playback has a Keepfin mode choice. Just downloads changes nothing on disk. The library and player are hidden, and only Downloads, Activity and Settings remain. Switching back to Keepfin Complete restores everything.
