Copies
A drive or card that comes back
Drives come and go. A missing drive is not an emergency, and Keepfin never treats it as a deletion.
While it is away#
The copy shows Not connected and counts what is waiting, for example "14 new songs waiting". Keepfin keeps your changes ready. Nothing is deleted from the copy because it is away.
When it comes back#
On Windows
Drives are recognised by an id that Keepfin put on them, not by their letter. A drive with a new letter is still the same copy. Keepfin syncs when it sees the drive again, or when you press Sync now.
On Android
When the card or USB drive is attached again, Keepfin syncs it. If the system stopped letting Keepfin use the folder, pick the same folder once more; nothing is missing.
If the drive looks older than it should#
If you restored a drive from an old image, or cloned it, Keepfin notices that it is behind. It does not remove anything from it. Needs review shows Restored drive and asks: This is the same drive or Treat as a separate copy.
Missing files#
A file Keepfin knows about that cannot be found shows up as missing, with Restore it if another place still has it. Check files in Settings → Storage & copies lists missing files from the Keepfin folder itself.
